Pul-e Khishti Mosque wallpapers

Pul-e Khishti Mosque is the largest mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan. Located in the center of old Kabul , the Pul-e Khishti Mosque can be identified by its large blue dome. The mosque originally was erected in the late 18th Century, but largely rebuilt under Zahir Shah in the late 1960s. It was damaged during recent fighting in the area, but is one of the few buildings in the area which has had restoration work done on it.

Mecca (pronounced /ˈmɛkə/), also spelled Makkah (occasionally Bakkah) (English: /ˈmækə/; Arabic: مكة‎ Makkah and in full: Arabic: مكّة المكرمة‎ transliterated Makkah Al Mukarramah [mækːæt ælmukarːamæ]) is a city in Saudi Arabia, and the holiest meeting site in Islam, closely followed by Medina.[2][3][4]
Muslim tradition attributes the beginning of Mecca to Ishmael's descendants. In the 7th century, the Islamic prophet Muhammad proclaimed Islam in the city which was by then an important trading center. After 966, Mecca was led by local sharifs. When the authority of the Ottoman Empire in the area collapsed in 1916, the local rulers established the Hashemite Kingdom of Hejaz.[5] The Hejaz kingdom, including Mecca, was absorbed by the Saudis in 1925. In its modern period, Mecca has seen tremendous expansion in size and infrastructure.

The Babri Masjid (Hindi: बाबरी मस्जिद, Urdu: بابری مسجد, translation: Mosque of Babur), was a mosque in Ayodhya, a city in the Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh, on Ramkot Hill ("Rama's fort"). It was destroyed in 1992 when a political rally developed into a riot involving 150,000 people,[1] despite a commitment to the Indian Supreme Court by the rally organisers that the mosque would not be harmed.[2][3] More than 2,000 people, mostly Muslims, were killed in ensuing riots in many major Indian cities including Mumbai and Delhi.[4]
